Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Lawrence amassed over 14 years of valuable work experience in an organizational support capacity, holding responsibility for reviewing employment contracts and company policies on employment benefits, and dealing with other employment related matters. Moreover, while at Hugh Wooding Law School, Alexis Lawrence completed her In Service Legal Training with the Barbados Revenue Authority where she gained in-depth knowledge of tax law. Additionally, prior to joining Altus Chambers, Alexis Lawrence also worked alongside other lawyers handling legal matters in the areas of Conveyancing, Employment Law, Family Law, Taxation Law and Compliance. 

Throughout her academic career, Alexis Lawrence has conducted extensive research on many areas of law. Overall, Ms. Lawrence has immense passion for law and justice and for the pursuit of knowledge.  She is currently pursuing her LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law with the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
